Workshop: The Sibling Space

For the brothers and sisters who quietly hold a lot too.

Growing up alongside a sibling with additional needs — or watching a parent or family member navigate a significant health or developmental challenge — shapes a child's world in ways that can be hard to put into words.

These children often show remarkable maturity, patience, and love, but can also feel overlooked, alone, worried, or unsure who they're allowed to talk to about their own feelings.

This workshop creates a space just for them — a place to connect with other children in similar family situations, discover peers who have similar experiences, share experiences without

needing to explain the backstory, and simply be a child for a while.

Through play, discussion, and creative activities, children can process their own feelings, build connection with peers who understand, and leave feeling less alone.

Workshop: Understanding Loss

Loss comes in many forms — this space makes room for all of them.

Group Support Session

When we think of loss, bereavement often comes to mind first — but children experience loss in many other ways too: a parent moving out, a friendship ending, a house move, a pet passing away, a change in family structure, or the loss of how things "used to be."

These losses are real, and children need space to process them, even when they don't fit the shape of grief we expect.

This workshop offers children a supportive, non-judgemental group space to explore loss of all kinds, using age-appropriate activities through the lense of the 4 seasons in our year, creative expression, and gentle conversation.

Children will have the chance to name what they've lost, understand that their feelings make sense, and build small tools to help them cope — all alongside others who understand, because they're going through something similar too.

Workshop: Finding Friends

Building friendship skills through fun, play, and creativity.

Making and keeping friends doesn't come naturally to every child, and for some, it can feel like everyone else already knows the "rules."

This workshop takes the pressure off by building friendship skills through play rather than direct instruction — using games, creative activities, and group challenges to naturally practise the building blocks of friendship: sharing, turn-taking, reading social cues, resolving small conflicts, and simply having fun alongside others.

Children leave not just with new skills, but often with the beginnings of new friendships too, built in a relaxed, encouraging environment where mistakes are part of learning rather than something to fear.

Supporting the Whole Family: A Workshop for Parents

Parenting a child with additional needs is demanding in ways that are often well recognised — but many parents are also quietly holding the needs of their other children alongside it: the ones without a diagnosis, the ones who don't have the same appointments or supports, but who need just as much of you. This workshop is for parents navigating both.

Together we'll look at how to divide time, attention and energy across children with very different needs without feeling like someone always comes second. We'll talk honestly about the guilt that so often creeps in, how to explain difference and fairness to children of all ages, and practical ways to protect one-to-one connection with each child even when life is stretched thin.

You'll leave with grounded, usable strategies — and the reassurance that you're not the only parent trying to hold all of this at once.
