Working with Adolescents
A space that's theirs, to say what's really going on.

Adolescence brings a lot of change, often all at once - shifting friendships, academic pressure, identity, family dynamics, and a growing need for independence, all while the brain and body are still developing. It's not always easy for young people to put what they're feeling into words, or to find someone who won't jump straight to advice or judgement.
Therapy with adolescents offers a confidential, non-judgemental space where they can be heard on their own terms. Sessions are tailored to the individual - meeting them where they are, at a pace that respects their autonomy while working collaboratively with families where appropriate.
Support is available for young people navigating:
-
Anxiety, low mood, or low self-esteem.
-
School and academic pressure.
-
Friendship and relationship difficulties.
-
Identity and sense of self.
-
Family conflict or major life changes.
-
Neurodivergent diagnoses and what they mean day to day.
Parents and guardians are welcome to reach out first if they're unsure whether therapy is the right step - a conversation doesn't commit anyone to anything.
